The book that I have analyzed is The Jack Welch’s Way, Perjalanan Sukses Jack Welch, CEO Termuda General Electric. This book tells about how Jack Welch builds up his career. This book gives the readers information about his strategy of success.
 
Jack Welch was born in a simple happy family. Her mother has big roles in educating him, enhancing his discipline, and also building his confidence. His father has big roles in teaching hardwork and dedication to him. From his environment, Jack learns about work and competition. He grows up with leadership character.
 
During his career, he hates bureaucracy and really wants to delete it. In his point of view, difficult bureaucracy will inhibit the development of a company. During his career, he makes many strategies to make the bureaucracy become more independent in which each employee can develop their skill without boundaries.
 
He has made many breakthroughs in his company such as applying fix, sell, close system, six sigma, boundary less system, and work-out method. Those strategies have developed General Electric Company into a successful company in the world. His formula for success is 4E+1P – Energy, Energize, Edge, Execution and Passion.
 
There are many leadership lessons from Jack Welch. They are the leaders must be able to birth new leaders, leaders must have open-minded personality, leaders must have courage and integrity.
 
My favorite quote from Jack Welch is:
“Sebelum anda menjadi pemimpin, sukses adalah tentang membuat diri sendiri menjadi sukses dan berkembang. Setelah anda menjadi pemimpin, sukses adalah tentang membuat orang lain menjadi sukses dan berkembang.”
This book is not only inspiring but also informative for people who want to develop their career, personality and also community.
